Yongchun & Jangshim -Four External Energy Gates (Chakra)

In Brain Education and energy-based practices, the body is understood not only as a physical form, but as a living energy system that responds to awareness.

Among many important points, Yong chun (湧泉) and Jang shim (掌心) are recognised as two key external energy gates (chakra) — supporting the natural flow, connection, and expression of energy.

Yong chun (湧泉) – Connection to Earth Energy

Yong chun literally means “Gushing Spring.”
It symbolises energy rising from the earth, like water naturally emerging from a spring.

Located on the sole of the foot, this point is associated with the Kidney meridian and the Lower dahnjon, forming a foundational connection to life energy.

Through Yong chun, we connect with:

When awareness settles into the soles of the feet, the body often becomes naturally more stable and centred.

Jang shim (掌心) – Energy Expression and Reception

Jang shim, located at the centre of the palm, functions as a key point for energy interaction.

It naturally supports both:

Energy Emission and Transmission.

Jang shim acts as a channel through which energy can be expressed outward.
It is closely related to:

Energy Reception and Collection

With gentle awareness, the palms can also receive and gather energy from the surrounding environment.

This makes Jang shim a bridge between internal awareness and external space.

The Living Connection of Energy

In practice, these energy points are not experienced as separate or isolated.

When Yong chun begins to open, a sense of stability and grounded energy naturally rises, and this often leads to a deeper activation of the Lower dahnjon.

Rather than consciously trying to connect the two, the body responds as a whole — and the flow between them emerges naturally.

Similarly, when Jang shim becomes more open and sensitive, the chest area often softens and expands on its own.

This may be felt as:

Again, this is not something to force or control, but something that unfolds through awareness.

Final Insight

Energy does not move through rigid structures — it responds to awareness.

As one point opens, another responds.

As awareness deepens, the body begins to function as an integrated energy system.

Even a simple moment of feeling the soles of the feet or the centre of the palms can begin to restore this natural flow.
